Nissan LEAF leaps ahead

The new all-electric Nissan LEAF is soon to be released this December 2010. With a range of 100 miles, it will accommodate daily commutes and more. The all-electric motor is packed with 110 ponies and 280 lb-ft of torque. Nissan say that the top speed is 140 mph, but I doubt anyone would be going that fast. The Nissan LEAF can be trickle charged in 20 hours from a regular household outlet and 8 hours on a 220/240 Volt supply depending on the amperage.
